I bought some blue sanding discs recently, was'nt until I went to fit them to my grinder that I realised I bought the wrong size
Best solution I thought was to buy an air operated grinder to use them on - you can never have too many grinders right
Then realised it needed a matching backer pad - check the advert for the grinder - 10mm thread, pad ordered.
Went to fit pad and disc - thread no good, way too coarse so definitely not M10 or even M10 fine!
Got the thread gauges out and its a 3/8" x 24 UNF thread on the spindle, WTF??
Made a new clamp nut on the lathe in the end, and got it working. Just thought it a bit of an odd thread, it's a SilverLine tool too.
