Oil Level Indicator Advice on Older Compressor.

With my modern and fairly fresh ABAC 200Litre compressor , the fill level should be on the middle red dot/mark... As is the same on my Sealey 100Litre machine.

Although I have an much older three phase machine 1980 - 4kw/3hp , pump is similar to the larger B4900pump on ABAC compressors... Does this machine get filled to the Dot ' Which is clear ' - or does it get filled above this?

I can’t see why it would be any different to most things, I would assume the dot to be the correct level.

My old Ingersoll had a clear dot in the middle of the little lense and that was the level indicator on that.
