Yes, Washing tumbler, My mother had a red one, Hot water, soap powder and a sealed lid, They built up a bit of pressure as I remember, Bit like a pressure cooker for clothes.

We had one of those but it ran off the cold water tap, put a spud in it and get distracted and the tater disintegrated and disappeared down the plughole, eventually we used it to fill a space in the cupboard under the kitchen sink, which I think on reflection was a better use for it.

Possibly the same time as the salad spinner we had, except in the 70's they didn't have catches to hold the lid on.

When our parents were on holiday my sister decided to make chips for tea, she peeled and sliced them, then loaded them into the salad spinner to remove the excess water and asked me to wind it up, I got it up to a decent speed then left it to wind down not realising the "load" was a bit out of balance so the bowl immediately tipped over, the lid came off and we spent the next 10 minutes collected chips from all over the kitchen and some even made it down the hallway
