The specs there are wrong. The e680 goes from shade 5 to 13 as it has two ranges. I don't have any experience of the esab but as for the e680 it's a nice helmet and works really well.

The specs are right for the e670 which is a different model, there are several in that range with different features, the e670 has a feature which automatically sets the shade according the e680 has a wider shade range.
