Optrel panorammaxx clt want to know has anyone else had a problem with optrel headgear absolutely shocking build quality and poor design

Best thing you can do it go and buy a 10 year old + 3M 9100Xx or esab aristo lid.

The esab aristo was one of the best ADFs ever made. Wish i still had mine, but i gave it to a friend who is now using it in Australia where he emigrated.

I got one several weeks ago. Took ages to setup the headgear, as it's too adjustable. Once done tho, I feel it's amazing. Build quality feels really good - perhaps I got lucky. Seems they're not consistent.

I have the same helmet, Panaromax CLT, and no issues at all. I don’t recognise the bit you show as damaged so not sure if you have the same ISOFIT headgear that mine has.

It picture shows where the head gear attaches to the helmet there are two tiny plastic tabs that you push into the holes as shown in picture plastic is much too weak and the tabs are only about 1.5 mm thick now how in the hell are two 1.5mm tabs on each side of the helmet going to last any sort of punishment of a welding shop

One of my big mistakes, I sold my ESAB Sentinel with one of the best headgear setups I have had, if one ever comes up again at a good price I will not hesitate to buy it. My Optrel (I have the Panoramax CLT) has been fine though. I would wholeheartedly agree, the headgear has far too many adjustments.

I see now but I’ve never adjusted them as it fitted perfectly first time.
