Dr i would need alot of wax and a big tubBloody amazing. better than i could ever do, heat it up till its to hot to touch and then dip it in hot candle wax, let it dry and cool naturally, it will look amazing and wont rust, gets into all the nooks and crannys far better than spraying it in laquer
You would have seen the other stuff ive done when i was using my aldi buzz box its alot better using the mig,its a great machineI was just going to suggest Jade Oil, it is great stuff as it flows well and finds it's way into crevices and is touch dry, also not as agressive a finish as lacquer.
Oh, nice piece of art as well. is that your first go at this stuff?
You must have got sick and tired of making the feathers and cleaning up the edges.
Can we have a close up of the beak in profile.

Thanks pondman,glad you like it
Yes the feathers were very tedious to do,i found the best way,for me anyway was to cut long strips with the plasma, then use shears to cut the feathers, then just shape them on the grinder.
I might try an owl next, but the face is taking some thinking about
Thanks for the link pondman,im now giving up
Truly amazing work.
