Evening all......

Havent painted since the days of Celly, used to use a JGA gun which are suction fed.

My question is : A Jga eats air as I recall, this is just to paint wheels and odd few panels etc at home. I've seen the latest gravity fed guns do they require less pressure?

Wondered if I could get away with a 15/20 cfm compressor with say a 150 tank.......

Also while I'm asking Can you still get pearl & candy's in celly or is it all 2 pack now. Many thanks

Absolutely it will work but wont feed your mask as well of course. I have 4 guns. 3 gravity but my top gun is a Sagola suction which ive had for 30 years fantastic service and to my knowledge doesnt use more air than a gravity. As your title, im out of touch with celly products but im sure any pearl/candy can be suspended in a celly clear, and definately in a celly base as 2k sysems use a celly base colour anyway.

look at mini gravity feed guns , you can get them really cheap on ebay and they work well enough for a home user

easier to handle when doing wheels etc , and easier on the air supply

I bought a £10 mini touch up from ebay, it's a delight to use and would be perfect for your intended use. Cheap enough to buy a couple and use one for colour and one for clear.

Celly based means 1:1 its old school Richard. The pro painters on here know what I mean. Grow up

I bought a £10 mini touch up from ebay, it's a delight to use and would be perfect for your intended use. Cheap enough to buy a couple and use one for colour and one for clear.

I presume it was a .8 jobbie, I'm amazed how good these little guns are, I have 3 or 4 of them and have had them for a few years now, great on small jobs like engine blocks etc etc, you can't go wrong for a tenner !!!

You can still get pearls and kandies in celly but why bother really, the House Of Kolor basecoats are very easy to use and nice too.

the modern base coats dont have the isocyanite nastys , its the clear coat that does

so no real need to search out celly pearls etc
