Overcoating Upol 88

Hi,
I have just purchased Upol 88 high build primer and note that it says it must be overcoated within 6 hours. I do not think I will be ready to top coat within this time so a couple of questions:

Why does it have to be overcaoted within this time frame ?

Can i overcoat with another 'normal' primer and then topcoat at a later date ?

it will be down to adhesion of the topcoat, you can go ahead then just flat it when you are ready to carry on.
bare in mind primer is porous and shouldn't be exposed to moisture

So after the high build primer and guide coating have been flatted should i spray another layer of primer which i then flat when i am ready to top coat ?

(The parts are on a motorcycle so will be kept indoors once primed)

you wont need to unless you rub through the primer or you have faults or scratches from previous flatting

I take it that flatting the paint at a later date gives the topcoat a 'fresh' surface to bond to ?
