Overload protection Vs Wired in Starter?

Hi,

Just looking at the clarke 14cfm 150L compressors and I see they do 2 models. One has Overload protection and the other Wired in Starter. Anyone able to explain the difference here?

If I go for the cheaper one, will I have to spend money buying additional external electrical bits to get it wired in?

Mine doesn't have a starter, I've just connected it to the mains via a 16A plug and socket. I use the red knob on the pressure switch to switch it on and off.
