Oxy-acetylene V spot welding

Hi, I am doing a bit of research for a course I am on and I know very little about welding.

Can you tell me 5 differences between oxyacetylene gas welding and spot welding.

gas welding uses a rod like tig welding you start a puddle and go from there
spot welding uses a no arc just two electrodes clam
ping the workpiece together and uses so many amps it melts the metal hence the name resistance welding

I think the idea of research is to find out for yourself, using Wikipedia, Google, Libraries and best of all the SEARCH facility on this forum. Bone up on gas welding and spot welding then work out the differences for yourself.

You'll learn a lot more that way than asking other people to do the research for you!
