whats the best and easiest way to clean out your spray guns and pots??
Strip 'em down, gunwash thinners (celly thinners). I use stainless bowls, one is a dog food/water bowl. Selection of brushes, you can buy sets cheap.
I have one set for metallic/pearl/flake and another for 'straight'.
I keep a 5 litre can with used thinners for first swill, then do a final swill and blow a bit through with fresh. If that's not met/pearl etc it gets filtered into the seconds can.

What is your take on not leaving thinners in gun?
On our JGAs we striped guns down every day a brushed out their orifices, but left an eggcup full in pot, this kept any leftovers & pot seal soft, never liked the plastic cup seals,
have things changed that much we tried the early gun cleaning machines as well, not a great success at the time either.
I once left cellulose thinners in my aluminium suction gun cup overnight (just forgot about it) and it left the inside black and pitted. I never did it again
