am in the process of working out a design for a weathervane with a customer.
so far the design is an upright log, with an axe planted in the top, and the handle leaning down to the front of the arrow.
anyway, they want the log to look like a log, so I suggested rusting it. they then said they would like the grain on it too, so I was thinking, rust it, then paint the grain on in black, or dark brown and then clear over the top...
anyone see any problems with this?
not sure what paint I will be using yet, but will be fired from an airbrush over a masked off template and then 2k clear over the top, or that's my thoughts so far anyway.
