painting 2pack whats a good price labour only ??

hi all

popped down to my local body shop today to see if they would just spray the couler coat on my van mercedes vito.

i have it all in primer and its stripped right back as far as parts go all prep work is done just needs them to mix paint and spray it and i will put all back together .

will all be masked up just ready for them to paint the top coat .

full couler change so door shuts also .

am supplying all paint thinners , hardener panel whipe etc

they gave me a price of £250 does that seam fair price to pay ????

Sounds dirt cheap to me. Someone has to pay for the premises, compressor, oven, heating, extraction, rates, insurance and all the other expenses of running a business. If they have a reputation for doing a good job, I would go for it quickly before the price goes up.

I had a Land Rover done a couple of years ago. I'd sanded the whole thing back so it was ready to be sprayed but all the masking etc was done by the bodyshop and they provided the paint etc. Cost me £400 cash so I'd say £250 is fair enough.

thanks chaps thought it ewas more than fair enough price .

he has done some painting for me in the past when he worked for someone else and has only recently set up for himself self employed .

dont have a oven though just spray booth .

was looking around at some of work he has done and looks realy good and it was last employer who sent me to him .
