Painting Bathroom Cabinets

My crazy wife has organised putting in a new bathroom at the front of the house but she has two used older cabinets and three new ones and they are of course different colours. She likes the style of the older ones which they don’t do now so wants to paint them which seems a bit crazy to me after spending a load then risk a rubbish finish. I’ll take them to my workshop and spray them in 2k polyurethane. Anyone painted cabinet doors with 2k without a primer? Mainly worried about a reaction rather than not sticking or should I just epoxy prime first?

Well the new cabinets are a different depth to the old ones so she is ordering two new cabinets and doing away with the curved first cabinet so saved me a load of hassle.

I’ve done a fair amount of inspection work in wood working places.

if it helps, the paint they always seem to use is made by Morrells

Application mostly by spray

Now that I think about it might be able to repurpose in the new area. Might clash with the concrete and OSB styling though but hey ho.

your bathrooms are fine except for one place the other...

you know id say change the sink to other wall where door is and put in a doorway into the dinning room is all it needs

though i did mention it to you

What was the front small bedroom. Yes we were fine with bathrooms previously, how many do two folk need.

The downstairs bathroom is being moved, that will become part of the kitchen knocking through the wall and be the entrance to the kitchen. Small lobby between kitchen and dining room will be the new downstairs bathroom.

Dining room has been renovated with the old door blocked up, now a door in from the hallway. Is now a second sitting room/study with a new wee stove installed and surround. It is a really nice room to chill out and listen to music or read etc.

I always did like that downstairs toilet and sink under stairs of yours shower looked a bit ackward to get into

my main like of it guests and yourself could use that toilet without wandering upstairs to me thats the whole point of having it

Ah yeah Karen wanted a door in to the hallway at the cottage but I like it the way it is. Every now and then I get it how I like.

Yeah Karen didn't listen about the downstairs shower shape and door.

my opinion id knock through where the sink is and fit a door there

easy to block door up other side at least the shower and toilet can remain where they are

I've put the sink and cabinets in. Still need to change the toilet and shower enclosure for different ones. Karen didn't do too well with some design features and late orders.
