Pallet delivery questions

My mother died last year, my brother was meant to come up to pick up his stuff that he had left in the house.

I offered to drive it down to him, but he said it wasn’t right…it was inconvenient for me (8 hour round trip) I’ve had enough (13 months) and I want to stick it on a pallet.

I’ve never done a pallet delivery before.

I’ve a blue pallet, I was going to attach sides to it and clingfilm the whole lot.

Everything inside the pallet will be boxed, is this ok?

I’ve a driveway with a dropped curb, will this be ok for pick up. Do I need to put it on the road?

Same for delivery end, do they leave it on the road or path? Just so I warn my brother, not sure if he’s got a drive etc.

Any way to get a cheaper pick up and delivery?

Is there anything I’m missing.

Condolences, I went through something similar tidying up family stuff, it's not easy.

For pallets a lot depends on the driver on the day. I've had a few pallets delivered, my place has a low tree over the driveway so a standard 7.5t van can't get close to the house. Credit to all the drivers so far - they have parked the van by the tree, unloaded the pallet there the been OK to push it up the hardcode driveway on the pallet truck with me helping.

Much as I understand what your trying to do. In reality if hes not collected it in 13 months does he really want it.

Give him a time and date to collect by or it goes to a charity shop. On date 1 minute after the time youve given, in the car and off to the charity shop!

I tried that, he blamed me. Called me a bit. I did say I was going to bin it. I think I’m too nice or too soft for my own good.

This is why I’m trying to put my foot down.
