Tempted to get one for one off jobs, Currently have a 1000W Router which weighs around 3KG & it's just too big/bulky for my liking

What's people's experience with Palm Routers?

Laminate cutter/bottle routers are handy. Is that what you mean

Send me some pictures, Could be interested. You can pick up new ones for a reasonable price tbf. Not really bothered about a branded one as I literally use it now & again

Bottle trimmers are useful for chopping in hinges/latches on doors and running rounds and chamfers on where the plunge router's are cumbersome


Set me back a fair bit but I use it a lot.

Katsu router i have 2 think they are great

Used mine twice
First time tidying up holes in the mft
Second time putting drips on window cills.
Wasn't happy second time around.
So used to abusing my 13yo Hitachi I need to remember to go easy on it

I've used mine for knocking corners off oak. Took a 10mm cut in one hit 45° chamfer. One is better than the other.

I bought a ferrex one a while ago, just used it the other day, it was quite handy but it's not the most refined product. The sleeve isn't the best fit but it's usable enough.

Both are katsu one is just a bit smoother. Though for the money cant be beater

I got one from Lidl or Aldi and its great for what its good for. Because they are small and used one handed they are not very powerful, too much power and you cant hold them steady, no substitute for proper plunge router with two handles but for trimming, edging and small rebates etc they are handy.
