Parkside 20v 1/2 impact wrench

Hi guys,

I recently bought a Parkside (Lidl) 20v 1/2 impact wrench which is apparently 400nm. Obviously it is never going to do that and it’s certainly no Milwaukee, but does however seem pretty good for the £60 I paid.

What I would like to know is my version is the B2, however upon perusing the middle of Lidl this evening I noticed they still have a load in stock, some of which are B2 and some of which are C3 versions.

Firstly does anyone know what the differences are between the Lidl A1, B2, C3 etc?
And if they have the B2 still in stock alongside the C3 (assuming that model is better/updated etc) where do I stand on exchanging it for the C3 as that is in stock alongside the other version.

I dont think theres any difference, same thing with batteries. Possibly minor changes to plastics etc..

Personally if its going to get any reasonable use I would return it and get a brushless Fakita, however mine is well past a reasonable time frame for that. Mine works fine for all the stuff I'm likely to do.

Note the power selection button is not that obvious if your not looking for it, and on low, it is weak.

I have one. I will use it for nipping up. But it was struggling with wheel nuts tightened to 140nm so I bought a milwauke for undoing.

Cheers chaps. I have a small 1/2” Makita that’s good but struggles over 100nm.

I won’t be using it that often TBH mainly for wheel nuts now and again on the track car and particularly on my van that has them whacked up to 170nm.

My Makita will be doing the bulk of the work though.

Honestly the Parkside will struggle at similar too, couple have them at work - they have about half the power of my little 300nm Makita at best. Alright for nuts and bolts 10mm and below, or nipping up before torquing. Although saying that both of them have issues with vibrating their batteries loose and cutting out mid-use.

I bought one a few months ago. To get max power you seem to need a fully charged battery. Mine gets used 99% of the time for wheel nuts for which it saves me loads of arm ache

Never had the battery loosening issue on any of my parkside tools.
Mine has plenty of power upto 17mm wheel uts and not tried anything bigger.

The tiny 12v parkside ratchet does well upto 14mm size, I'm using that all the time, though a brushless Fakita would be a huge improvement I think.

Are these the regular green parkside ones yeah?

I'd say the rarer parkside performance brushless ones would perform closer to Milwaukee level

I bought the Milwaukee 18v Fuel 1/2" impact gun instead of the Parkside.....not as powerful as I thought....and only because I had some of their other tools/batteries.....
Should have bough Japanese.....
I beleive u can adjust setting via Blue Tooth on the Milwaukee....anyone done that....?
Ps...I still like my air impact coz of it's low weight.....but I dont use the comp every day...so for small jobs in the shop and around the farm the batt machines just have to do....

I have a 1/2 Ingersoll Rand that will spin the earth on its axis fur super human jobs last used that for pulling longer wheel studs through the front hub on the track car.. I think the splines were a little too big and thought they would never go.. fired up the compressor and the IR sorted them. Took some doing even with that but it did the job.

Sorry I meant M10, not 10mm. Which probably ties up with your 17mm. These are the black ones btw.

I've never seen the black ones in any of the five local Lidl's, only a black hedge trimmer and I suppose, the plasma cutter is a black one.

I've only ever seen the performance plasma cutter in my local lidl stores, never anything else, always just the standard parkside stuff The bare 20v 1/2" PP impact gun is £120 online at the very cheapest... should be about £50 or so in store? If you see one, grab it along with a receipt and I'll buy it off you and arrange a courier and tip you a few beers or pub meal money if that could work for you!

We rarely see the performance stuff over here but I'll keep an eye out.
