PARVALUX Motor/Gearbox For Rotary Table

Have any of you guys ever used something like this as the basis for a rotary welding table?

I've thinking about attaching something like a lathe face plate to the output shaft to hold the work piece. I guess I just wanted to know if it would work?

I think it should work just fine,as long as you don't overdo it weight wise the output spindle is quite small dia,Or you could build something much bigger and use the Parvalux as just the the driver via a chain etc,
I used one of the Parvalux motor/gearbox to drive a large pig roaster,It was rated to do 6.5 RPM but I geared it down to 2RPM via a couple of motor bike sprockets.I do have another one the same as my roaster drive(straight thro' drive, yours is a nice little angle drive, Very useful totally excellent piece of top quality kit,
