Parweld PR09 Aircooled Torch

Got the flexhead version. Why.

I prefer pedal for AC ali, but prefer a switched torch for steel/stainless and off the bench.
I have a WP26 switched, with fixed head-its too big for me.
I have k-nakered wrists and hands.
I need the torch to bend where my wrists won't. I need a flexhead.

I have done about 5 hours with it.

Its nice n flexible due to last couple of feet of hose being super flex sleeve.
The switch is super light, almost zero nodding when pressed.
The flexhead is very good, very little force needed compared to my CK torches.

For me, its made life a heck of a lot easier.

Thats good to hear glad its working for you.
Did you try one before or did you just hope it would suit you,i looked at one but wasn't to sure it would suit me. Looked like they took a mig torch and stuck some tig bits in.

No, I did not try one as kit is limited over here, it was reccommended to me, so I took a punt, the alternative was to clip a switch on a CK, but I did not fancy that. In comparison, I am impressed with the parweld kit.
I would always advise trying where possible though because we are all different, and what we fabricate is diverse.

I'll admit they are not my favourite but that's not to say they are not good things. We just all get a certain feel for what we like.
I'm very much like yourself norlander in the respect that I prefer a button on the torch for most stuff unless I have the luxury of having aluminium laid on a bench and a comfy seat.
I too have a ck with a clip on switch and I find it very nice to use all round.
It's no speedway but it's very good, high quality and comfy.
Glad you've got one that fits the bill mate.

9 alongside the 26, 26 is fitted up with 9 bits, 9 has a gas lens bunged in for comparison, 9 s neck tweaked a tad.


The last few feet of the sleeve on the parweld is soft flexible leather, big advantage, over the 26


The hose on the parweld looks to similar quality to the CK type



Whilst I have cursed the 26, I did persevere with it along the lines of "train hard fight easy" and could get results, but some stuff was very frustrating. The new torch sorts all that .
To be fair to the 26, its an aircooled made to handle 200 amps AC, so it needs to be butch. Always good to have if the pedal goes off the road or need to go off bench.
One point on the Parweld is, keep your finger away from the button when doing a "dry run" or put your mask down, because the switch is feather light and you could flash up.
Overall impression is that the Parweld has been designed by someone that actually welds??

That designer would be Jonathan Websdell, he's a good welder IIRC and he knows every one of the torches they make inside out back to front.

Personally the shape of the torch isn't my favourite as I like a tube handle with a press on switch but out of the massive range of "moulded" handles on the market the PRO grip is my favourite.

Good job Jonathan got it right then or I would have had to break his wrists, snap the tendon to his thumb and then tell hime to design me torch.
I was unsure about that handle but it works for me.

Knowing the designer of the kit Illustrates my point, IMHO about buying my welding kit from a welding suppliers, not a sell all things outfit.
