Parweld xtt 202

Hi guys I’m looking at getting a Parweld xtt 202 but I just wanted to check that it will work off a 13 amp plug until I get a 16 amp put in?

Also any feedback on the machine would be great and any recommendations where is good to purchase it from? My last machine was an Rtech but they seem to have got pricey for some reason

It will work on a 13A plug up to around 130A-150A depending your breaker etc..
It's a great little machine providing you're not wanting to get too in depth with pedal use, some get a little bit annoyed that the amp range has to be set on the pedal rather than on the machine.

I didn’t realise it was all set through the pedal, thanks for letting me know Tom

That’s a bit of a deal breaker as I use Miller & Kemmpi welders at work so setting the amps at the pedal would get quite frustrating

Do you know if any other pedals connect up to it?

I've had the 202 for about 18 months now and I love it. I use mine on a 13amp plug most of the time, like tom says up to about 150 amp its fine on the 13amp. The pedal issue doesn't bother me personally.

I’m getting on really well with mine although it had to go back to Parweld because there was a fault. The service from Tom and his colleagues was excellent, as was the price. I don’t see a problem in winding the pedal pot fully open which then gives you maximum amps but I’m no pedal expert.

One thing that bugs me is when you switch on the display shows amps but when you adjust the control it changes to preflow.

Can you max the amps at the pedal and adjust it on the machine? Or does it not allow adjustment with the pedal connected?

Good to hear the machine holds up well, I’m torn between the parweld and the swp digi tig 200

Once the pedal is connected all amp controls are disabled on the panel (except pulse parameters).
It also disable up- and downslope.

Never been bothered with the amp control.

I had my 202 for about 5 years without probllem, an XTI though but they are the same under the shell.

Iirc you can't, its all pedal. I've been playing with the SWP digi TIG 200 recently and actually really enjoy it, for the money you pay for them they're brilliant. Quality accessories / pedal with it too.

Yeah the SWP looks to be good value for money, the ac waveforms make it quite tempting. Is the warranty back up good on them?

SWP are pretty hot on the ball with warranty, collection is included etc..

I believe there is a way of doing it if you manipulate control pins etc.. SSC pedals ain't cheap though.

Yeah I think they were about £150-200, I was hoping it’d be plug and play.
Probably not worth the hassle then lol
