Pels nibbler steel former

I managed to win this on ebay for a really good price it was listed spare or repair not working.. pluged it in and hey presto it worked..

just need to check over it poperly and then make some tools for it.. It came with a load of nibbler bits

yeah i want to sort some louver dies for it just need to find space for it in the garage

Great bits of kit, I spent many hours standing at the Trumph version of that making sheet metal components, when the neighbours hear it running with a nibbler punch in it they will think that you have bought a Gatling gun, buy or make some planishing tools for it and you have an alternative to a wheeling machine,

ok had a little play about this morning making some tooling

getting there still need more work to get the right profile and smooth them off


had some help today


just temp fitted to see if they worked




not to bad for the first go bit more to the tools and we should be good

I'd love one with a set of thumb nail dies for shrinking, I did trawl eBay for a while but in the end I bought a shrinker stretcher combo but I still hanker after a Pullmax style machine.

Someone has been looking on ebay lol yep £100 and £114 to get it to me, I took a gamble as it said it wasnt running but there isnt much to them so thought it wouldnt be much to fix..

i had been looking for about 6 months for one I have emailed another company that has one for sale with some tooling ( i am after the tooling) to see what they want for it....

just got to get to grips with making the tools

Yeah its fairly noisy to run but that could be down to getting the tools set properly..

Hi clarky31 I just bought a pels asg3 like yours but there was no tooling with it. Could you post a pick of the tooling you made in perticular the shank/stem. From what i can see on mine it looks like a straight metal cylinder with a bolt to hold it in position is this about right?

Sorry clarkey been rediculously busy of late. Still haven’t had time to get any tooling made -yet. But to answer your question I will be using the machine mostly for auto car panel fabrication: so will need cutting, shrinking, tipping, and swaging dies. Hopefully over the next month I will get some time and pop down to local engineering shop to get some made.
