Hello,
Just like to say Thank you to all who have been patient with me asking lots of questions, no doubt there will be more...lol
After receiving some help regarding compressors i thought i'd give a little report on the
50L 5.5hp unit from LTS. (which eventurely got going)
After runnig my new compressor:
Yes it was quite loud...(Rubber under the wheels helped reduce some sound).
The belt cover rattles a little.
The petrol filler cap could be more of a positive fit.
The piston oil filler cap needs a bettter washer.
The 50L tank was full in about 8mins on idle speed, then the release valve kicked in at about 115 psi.
Stored the air in the tank over night and 50% was gone by the morning but I could not hear a leak.
Using the 3/8" male oulet valves supplied i connected a 1/4" hose with a 3/8" quick release set up.
I was quite impressed with the pressure when using the air blow gun.
I feel what i need now is more air storage capacity and a moisture filter, though not sure if a pressure regulator is needed.
Another hose has been ordered 3/8" this time, i will be able to compaire it with the 1/4" once connected.
I won't be able to run a sandblaster from this compressor (shame) but i can run other tools to help with my car project.
