Petrol compressor

hi i,m currently converting a 11 hp 3 phase compressor to a petrol engine 13 hp rpm just about the same can anyone help with the required set up for having a genie valve open and close the throtle so its not reving its head off when full ?

I take it you mean a generator throttle assembly?
You'll need a different system for an engine driven compressor, one that senses pressure and varies the throttle rather than electrical loading.
You'll also need an un-loader valve to give the engine an easy start so it's not having to make air straight away.
Both items should be available from people who sell compressor spares. Machine mart spares dept should be able to help as they do a few engine driven compressors. Probably not the cheapest source though.
You'll need to make sure the throttle suits your engine and can be suitably adjusted.

sounds expensive govenors for a generator are not cheap and they only maintain the speed you could do with an electronic clutch to disengage once pressure is reached and a solenoid to alter throttle from tickover to higher revs
