Pickup Truck Canopy Windows

Ok I am in a dilemma.
The rear windows on the pickup are leaking what do I do?
I tried sealing them with CT1 between the seals and glass but they are still leaking, infact 1 is worse I think!

Should I

1. Buy replacement seals from seals direct? although the seals look ok and not split.
2. remove the glass and seal and bond the glass directly to the canopy.
3. remove the glass and replace it with metal and bond this directly to the canopy.
4 other ideas.

Are you able to find just where the water is getting in?
( friend with a watering can as you watch from the inside?)

its a ball ache even more so now it is sealed with CT1, it was running in somewhere and around the seal to the lowest point then running off. now it is dripping in from the top and running around the seal and off the lowest point!

Do you want another canopy? I have a black Carryboy one which I took off my old L200 which you can have for free.

Bond the window to the body. Not the seal.

that would need a fair few tubes of glop to take up the space of the seal

level the seal in place, fill it with foam rope

It's tucked away under a tarpaulin in the corner of my garage surrounded by allsorts of stuff so pics are pretty much out of the question but mine was a 2000, which I believe is the same shape as yours.
It's in decent condition and was only removed as I bought a flip-up cover.
If it's of definite interest to you I'll try and dig it out and send you some photos.

I’m in Wiltshire. I honestly can’t remember if it has sliding windows, it’s been sat there for several years.

I use the same sort of seals on my bike panniers, the do flatten with age. Maybe take window out and check they are OK if Wozaaah canopy doesn't fit.

Hi @Wozzaaah I am interested in this canopy please if the offer still stands I just picked another up for free down in kent but it leeks worse than my one! But it is roomier with the straight back opening.

That's the one I just got with the square back it has much more room that is my original with the slanted back and spoiler looks good but awkward and less space.
