Looks like it should be recognisable.

Its more out of curiosity unless someone says its the most amazing drill ever, as its got a dead motor, and the price tag is some way from pocket change...

It kind of looks like there should be more on the top also? -

Kerrys are supposed to be good drills, not that I can think of any poorly regarded old cast iron drills.

I've got a kerry drillmaster which is more or less the same but without the back gear. It's a solid drill, I couldn't lift it on my own. I would prefer the super 8 if the back gear was operational.

what would you say a fair price for one that spins, but no further information in known?

No idea on price, usually advertised for about £200 on ebay. Fitting a new motor wouldn't be that hard, the mount on the back slides off easily.
If you don't already have a good drill and want slow speed capability it's a good option. Also has 5 inches of travel on the quill.

I have one of those, it's a Kerry Super 8. Superb drill with speeds from 80 to 3000 rpm. By turning a knob you can engage back gear & go from 500 rpm to 80 rpm, handy for going from pilot drill to main drill without faffing around with belts!
They also have a solid steel column which makes them very rigid.

They are a superb drill, miles better than the usual Meddings. If it's not expensive buy it, you'll not regret it! It has a nice large plate on the back to take a range of different motors, I think it uses a 1/2 hp or 0.37 kw motor.
