pipe fittings?

in the next month or two I plan to put a compressor in my garage/workshop.

i plan on running some copper pipe around the workshop so i can connect at different points

what fittings do i what to be looking for to go from copper pipe to quick release fittings. I plane to hopefully use 22mm pipe so i ge the sir flow unles its better to get 15mm for fittings
and where would i get them from

I've got 15mm pipe, then 15mm to 1/2" fittings, which connect to the 1/2" ports on my tank and regulator. You could do the same with 22mm, but i've had no issues with 15mm. I only have about 3m of pipe though.

I use 15mm pipe soldered together with capillary fittings extensively in my workshop. I also have some short runs of 22mm.

The 15 mm to 1/2 inch can be got from Screwfix. I've used 8mm compression fittings from screwfix to connect pipe to 1/4 BSP ports, but 8mm fittings I got from B&Q didn't have BSP fittings, so be careful.

i popped in to my local cromwells yesterday to get a couple of fittings. they had them but not instock.Also I was after a t peace and not a y adapter the guy at cromwells suggested marshal brewston who are also local. so i popped in there and got a few more fittings.

I now have 1 18kg propane bottle conntected as an air reciever will be adding the next in a few days .I will post a few pics on how the project is comming along

Yeah when you want to disconnect the receiver you have to empty it first no valve fitted. its very handy to be able to fill the receiver disconnect it and take it with you to blow up a flat wheel i have even used mine for a small bit of spraying.

correct. ive 2 bottles both going under my workbench and Im going to fix pipe permenatly to compressor. so the mistake of disconnection cant be made wil a hose full of pressure. then i will mount a 2nd regulator and filter on wall and then fit my quick release there. I plan to add a couple of fridge compressors to help keep the bottles topped up as the compressor is not that big only a 6l tank on it so i only run it in 10 min max bursts to fill tanks then let it cool down.I will add a small 3rd tank that i can remove as a portable reciever
