Pipe that stays flexible ?

Fed up with "doing battle" with the air pipe to the blow gun. Is there a material that stays flexible in cold weather?

Yep, cheap rubber is good to use but you need a stock of joining pieces to hand to repair it as it blows!

For tyre inflation and blow gun, I just use a cheapy coily flex, and not had any cold trouble with it, but it's not in a heavy use situation, either.
Generally, my main air hose is ex-industrial stuff and was chucked out of a works after being scraped and mangled a bit, but perfectly fine for me.

I to have that problem..
does the bore make any difference to pressure.
current I'm using a reinforce clear pvc pipe but it goes stiff as hell in winter..
so I'm consider buying a rubber pipe and I have two size choices..1/4",5/16"
would a 1/4" give that bit more??
I use a blow gun to clear the mess off my bench.

A small bore hose will affect delivered pressure only when you approach its delivery limits, so for the likes of low demand kit like most tyre pressure checking, small bore is fine (different thing if you're blowing up tractor tyres, you need a lot of air, reasonably quickly), so a blow gun doesn't need much and really, shouldn't have much, as you don't want a huge blast of air firing stuff up and around you.

You need this in your life...Propane gas torches rubber hose.Available anywhere on the web and most certantly at your local roofers merchants.Stays flexible hot or cold and able to withstand high pressure

Good quality rubber air hose is what we use at work for all air tools...Lasts a good few years, in an industrial environment....eg walked on, stuff dropped on, hot, cold, driven over now and then, laying on the floor amongst swarf....

Might get the odd bit of perishing on the ends after a couple of years, just cut a bit off and put the fitting back in.
I always make them up and use 2 crimp on O-clips at the ends. No leaks, and don't pull off.

get some blue rubber oxygen hose ,propane or acetylene hose and your guraneed it will last for 20 years theres a lot of crap rubber ones around . u realy need to know the quality of it . steam hose is good as well

my hoses have been on 35 years now and i just re made the ends of last week there as good as new ive sent u a pm john
