Piping argoshield light and pureshield to the same welder

I'm about to pull the trigger on a cylinder of pureshield for TIG to sit beside my bottle of argoshield and it suddenly occurred to me that I don't know how to present both to my multi-process machine (an r-tech MTS255), which only has a single gas inlet,
Do you switch hoses when switching between processes or is there a more high tech solution?

I can't see why you couldn't fit a tee and connect both cylinders to the same inlet.

I cant either, or just fit a couple of snap connectors, to the gas lines.

A reg on each cylinder, then quick connectors on the outlets and the mating part on the gas hose.

Iirc, when I had my mts255 apart for a blow-out, there are 2 gas solenoids inside, one for each process. I would fit another connection to the rear panel.

I reckon you need a couple of solenoids, a plc with a hmi and some manual push buttons/lights. Or at least that's what I'd say if you were a paying customer

Yeah that sort of thing!! Much better than just boring old "swapping hoses over"

Well if you want to be fancey you could fit a solenoid that changes between the apropriate gas when you select between mig and tig.

Don't forget a manual override for when you want to mig alu

Well if you fit an inductive sensor pointing at the wire in such a way that it will differentiate bettwen the two metals......

Scot I swap my bottle between two welders in the way you can swap two bottles between 1 welder. A reg on each bottle with a line on each reg.
fit a rectus 21 female fitting on each line.
On the welder fit a 6 inch bit of pipe on the original connection and put a rectus 21 male fitting on the end of this pipe.
Don't get male and female fittings back front or you'll lose gas every time you disconnect.
This is the best simplistic solution. Cheap too.

Mine is exactly the same as Richards for switching between active and inert on the mig
