Plumbing help needed

We have a gravity fed hot water system which feeds the monoblock kitchen tap.
The water pressure is extremely low.
Until recently the water flowed through the older type large bore stainless flexi hoses.
The old tap has been scrapped but the new ones on the market seem to have small bore flexi hoses which results in a dribble when the new tap is switched on.
Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement to overcome this problem?
I am struggling to find any of the large bore versions.

if you want the monoblock tap you would need to use a pressure pump

or switch back to the older type taps again

there is another issue that your facing whilst the hot water tank temp is set higher than your taps as soon as the tank water hits the taps you will be hit by the anti scald mode on them

Trying to find older type one which was a monoblock but had the larger input hoses - and am struggling to find one, Any ideas where I might get one?

They sell low and high pressure taps but even the low pressure ones don't flow well. Check to see if yours is a high pressure one.

unless you go back to the full flow taps you will always have issues with the flow of water even with low pressure taps

unless a pressure pump is fitted

It's not the tails. Assuming you have the required in-line valve on the tails, run them into a bucket and turn on, it won't be a dribble.
Bristan ones seem to need the lowest 'head' of modern taps, but as Gaz says they are not the same a separate old sckool taps.
Too many bends make it worse

I wonder if I’ve used the wrong terminology,
Is there a difference between monoblock and mixer taps?
The one that was scrapped had a single spout, the base fitted through a single hole in the sink, and had individual hot and cold levers.

the older style monoblocs had 15mm down to 12mm then to a thread into the monobloc

the new style monoblocs are smaller

there both roughly the same nowadays with monoblocs and mixer taps

Make sure your new tap is suitable for low pressure systems.

Did had a similar situation....and moved manifold feeder tank higher. 20yr ago... dishwasher feed,

As mentioned above, do all you can to avoid a pump even the quieter ones are noisy.

Use the filters at the side of the page to select low pressure they go down to 0.1 bar or less, find a tap you like and search around for a better price.

A twisted or kinked flexible hose doesn't always "show through" to the braiding on the flexi.

We have found a suitable tap (twin tap handles ) and the water flow is perfect.

You can get full bore tails, but as above there are some taps that still work on gravity systems

Bought from City plumbing £35. The guy said that the small bore flexi is standard nowadays but the tap themselves vary in flow level. It seems to work fine but sadly I’m back on washing up duty.
