plunge saw rails

does anyone know if the evolution st1400 plunge saw rails are compatible with the aldi Workzone plunge saw?
i know the saw is compatible with scheppach rails.
and the evo rails are "compatible with scheppach saws", but it also lists other makes which i know *aren't* compatible.

id like to be sure before forking out the best part of £80!
although... i could be tempted to buy the EVO saw to break down sheets of zintec

I'll test for you next week. Got a Evolution R185CCSX+ Circular Saw and 2.8m track set on its way to me at the moment, once it arrives I'll check track compatibility with my Workzone plunge saw. £155 for the saw and two 1.4m tracks delivered is a pretty good deal.

me too.
the thing is: machine mart say that the rails are compatible with Scheppach AND festool (amongst others) and i know that my workzone saw is not compatible with festool rails.

I have the same, for the money it's not bad,

Dust collection is terrible though even with extraction.

Unfortunately the only rails that fit the aldi/scheppach saw are the aldi/sheppach rails, as the saw blade comes down about 6mm further away from the inboard raised track than any of the other saws. i.e. aldi/scheppach rails are about 6mm wider.

Ive got the Lidl saw and Evolution rails. The splinter guard is quite generous out of the box so you might just have enough to work with the aldi/scheppach saw, but it might not trim neatly as you would probably be "sanding" it rather than cutting into it.

You also need to be careful with the evolution rails as the non-evo saws are wider and run over the left side and its possible to slightly tilt the saw over that side.

Rails came today, tried sitting the Workzone/Scheppach saw on them. Got some pics so you can see how it sits on the track, looks like it will work fine. The blade is further away from the Evolution track than with the Workzone track, but its not by as much as 6mm, maybe 3 or 4. One slight issue is that the saw won't switch quickly between the two types of rail as there is a slight difference in the ridge width (less than .5mm, so easily adjusted out with the adjusters on the saw). Depending on the accuracy you are looking for you may be able to leave it adjusted for the wider set of rails. Didn't want to do a test cut with it as I want Evo rails splinter guard set for the Evo saw. But the Evo rails look good, nicer finished than the Workzone, come complete with clamps (which work with the Workzone rail as well) and two sets of connector bars as opposed to the Workzone one set.

Might have to nab a couple of those. Festool compatible

They don't list DeWalt but DeWalt fits festool tracks.

Il cut one down to 800 and use the other one to make a crosscut sled
