Pop rivets

I have to fit a solar panel on a very expensive motor home.
Its going to have two 40 x 40 x 5mm ally angle glued and pop riveted to the roof. The roof is about 2mm thick what length rivets should I use?
Or have you a better idea
Sika 522 with 205 Activator for the glue

bulkhead rivets ,,, they are the sealed ones ,, Id use the 3m clear chewing gum tape under the frame ,, use it properly and the rivets are only a secondary fix ,,, dont overlook rubber rivinuts either.

I personally would glue / tape / whatever ,the angles to the roof , then make a frame with matching rails on the panel and bolt the two flats together ,,, that way the panel can be unbolted and the rails stay in situ , so if you had to remove , replace or upgrade the panels its only a few bolts bolt new panel to rails or new made rails and bolt the two together on the roof , , sort of built in future proofing.

I watched a film on the Germans making the mini the other day (or was it the new defender?) Anyway, they were riveting aluminium to steel with some clever swaging rivets. The maker of these rivets? Tuckers. Now my dim memory tells me tuckers pop rivets sponsored a rallycross Porsche way back in the 80's?

I chose aluminium body and stainless shank, with low profile domed head.

Hover over each length and diameter combination and the blue box turns green and pops up a box telling you grip range for that length.

Smear the holes for the rivets with PU, or silicone, rivets will leak without goo, I'd be looking at 10 mm rivets personally, or slightly longer 15 mm ?

There I an optimum length V thickness, so first chose rivet material ( Alloy, Monel) personally I would not use Alloy, dissimilar materials= corosion, then diameter then length

It always surprises me people seem to think as long as it fits the hole length is not a problem
