portable folding welding bench ideas ?

Anyone seen any good strong ones that can be diy fabricated ?

Something like 600 x 600 mm top.

Anyone got a picture of the hinges on the legs of these, they fold in two directions ?

I suppose a cheap workmate could have the wood removed and replaced with a piece of thick steel sheet to make a folding welding table.

I would substitute the link at the bottom for a chain and a hook, that way you will get height adjustment.

I used to have one, i used steel grating in place of the wood , bit flimsey though.

Got a pair out in the shed. Really useful but super wobbly. Hinge is just a pin through the top of the leg and has a stop on the end of the top. The legs lock apart with a notched flat bar.
