Poss new torch / welding issues for Snap on minimig 185

I have been using my second hand minimig 185 faultlessly for the past few weeks, then over the past few days is has been causing a few issues.

Rather then striking a weld and forming a pool all im getting is it "coughing" and kicking back. The gas feed is correct and I have tried it on multiple power settings and wire feed rates and nothing seems to work. It seems to want to lay the weld on the top of the work piece.

It could do with a new euro torch aswell, the swan neck is a bit battered. What type do I need, looked at a few and I cant seem to make sense of the different types of torch.

has your machine got a euro plug on it? if not fitting can be hard work depending on your sparkey skills. some pics of the welds might help but all i can think of is condition of the tip, shroud and liner to the torch

Its a Euro type torch, Ill get some piccys of the welds post later. I think i maybe able to get away with all new from the swan neck forward if i can source the bits!

Euroconnector is a standard, so any make of torch will fit, but some are better than others for the price!. You will need to know what make you have before ordering any bits, swan necks can be replaced. If you only want to do a torch service, get tip adapter, shroud, a few tips and a new liner. Try Weldequip shop at top of page for spares.
