Power steering pipe

My 2013 jeep compass has suffered from a pipe leak on the metal section of the high pressure power steering hose .
New ones are unobtainable at present a hefty £200 plus on back order .
My local hydraulic hose supplier can supply me the hose part.

The pipe ends (10mm) they can't do ,so reaching out to the hive mind to see of anyone has the ability to form these ends or can direct me to someone who can .
It has been suggested to buy adaptors but they dont have the flare on them .

If the pipe end shown is sound and the stub of pipe also then you could braze onto it another pipe fitting of a type that your hose supplier can match to.

It’s impossible to see from the pic exactly what is going on with the pipe end. Don’t you have a better pic?

Unfortunately the leak is just near the nut

I will see if I can get a better pic , probably add a sketch later .

Pic is a bit blurry but looks similar to my recent/current issue.
Looks along the lines of the GM formed fitting.

Could you get someone clever on a lathe to machine a copy if that end fitting in s/s and leave a male threaded end to adapt to your had hose.

Now that looks promising for the first flare and I should be able to add the end flare with some or my own tooling.

They are my usual go to for fittings but don't offer anything. They suggesting finding someone with the flaring tool.
I found that flaring tool you suggested wasn't available on amazon but have found it elsewhere at £300 , which is a bit much for a couple of fittings . I am wondering about making some dies for my brake / fuel pipe tool

This is a Saab one.
Maybe there is a cheap readily available one, from another make, that can be butchered for the ends

Have you tried any agricultural engineers? The one local to finds all sorts of stuff I can’t find

They are my usual go to for fittings but don't offer anything. They suggesting finding someone with the flaring tool.
I found that flaring tool you suggested wasn't available on amazon but have found it elsewhere at £300 , which is a bit much for a couple of fittings . I am wondering about making some dies for my brake / fuel pipe tool

That set advert handily showed the formed ends.
Was no use for me as i needed 1/4 pipe, so can only go with likes of youtube reviews.

I did ask a mate who repairs case tractors down in the South of Scotland he didn't have one but is asking around .

Yes it's for a LHD but you could cannibalise it and get a new pipe swaged on

Unfortunately it's different threads , my jeep is the one with the merc engine and metric threads . I have used rock auto in the past for my chrysler, they are decent .
