practices welds what do you think

this is a lap weld and a tee fillet weld got a new job not welding but equally as enjoyable if such a thing exists just had some time to night to practice
what do you guys think 3.2 phonix or something or other rods 130 amps

this one has some stop and starts

The welds look good and consistent for the most part.

Lots of spatter though. Try a bit shorter arc length.

Mine are near spatter free on DC, just bit on AC.

thanks mate spatter is a issue at the moment. i thought it was the amps may have been a tad high for the rod altho it states up to 140 on the box verticals are still a isue but not as much as they were before i found these rods are for vertical jobs just need some more scrap and time :-D

Welds are looking pretty good. Rod angle is also one to watch for; it may be that you are a bit shallow with the angle - that will create a lot of spatter. As Shenion says, keep the end of the rod a little closer to the weld pool.
Pause for a short time at the end of your run; it will fill the crater that forms otherwise.
