Pressure pot: 5 gall vs 10 gallon

What's the difference when in use? You get more blasting media in a 10 gallon one obviously but in practical terms is there much in it in terms of useable air time? Lots of folk have the 10 gallon ones but I never see the smaller ones mentioned. Are they too stop-start to bother with?

It also depends on the compressor you have and how much air storage you have too. I have a 20gallon one and two 3hp compressors + 500lts of air its only just enough to keep up till the pots empty

Consult a simple chart (they are all over the internet)
for pressure blasters, it will show you air consumption
based on nozzle size as well as sand consumption.

using the bigger ones are fine if u have a decent air supply but if u haven a smaller pot is better as you have to fill that tank with air before you even start blasting . it requires a constant pressure when in use otherwise it uses more media and when air reduces less blasting force and dificult to keep regulated mine hold about 30 kg of media a bag and a half
