hi guys,

just tried spraying primer on some bare metal bike bits.

how long do i have to leave the parts before i can flat down for another coat?

spraying was carried out in a warm workshop booth and bits placed on a table and the heater has ben left on overnight.

it will be ready now generaly if u rub 2 early with wetand dry it will drag across the paintwork leaving score marks and clog the abrasive

forgot to mention, its brushing enamel mixed with thinners so it can be sprayed.

ive got primer, undercoat and top coat that im strugling to brush paint so had a word with the supplier and he advised thinning and spraying.

do drying times differ with this?

spraying probably dries slightly quicker as it will be sprayed on evenly and a thinner coat than handpainting

Spray a bit of paint on something that doesn't matter at the same time then you can touch it to see if it has dried. Ordinary enamel paint is hours as opposed to cellulose which is touch dry in minutes.
