Hi,
I bought one of these a while ago (Sealey SG16) picture on the left.
It's ok but struggles to spray much through the extension tube.
I've tried heating the Waxoyl and thinning with white spirit.
I'm now just testing with neat white spirit to try to understand what's going on. The extension tube / nozzle needs about a 10mm hole to get inside box sections. Unfortunately I only have 6mm holes and the panels are already painted so I don't want to drill them out.
I've tried using smaller tubing and / or a smaller nozzle. No joy, even with just white spirit. The gun relies on the air flow to suck up the liquid to spray. Any restriction in the extension tube and it just blows bubbles back into the liquid rather than sucking it up to spray.
It seems what I need is a gun that pressurises the liquid to force it out of the nozzle.
Has anyone tried one of these Sealey SG18 guns (picture on the right) ?
It's over twice the price so will hopefully work better and the extension probes look smaller diameter. Will it work to inject through a 6mm hole ?
Am I just missing something obvious (other than making the holes bigger !) ?
