I`ve been rebuilding my 300TDI defender and now have a kit of parts waiting to go back together. Almost all the panels apart from the bonnet and roof are brand new.
Does anyone know the process that Landrover paint the Defender (apart from badly!) Do they assemble the body first then paint the whole lot in one go inside and out, then fit out the bulkhead etc?
I was intending on painting the bulkhead first, building it up, then painting the individual panels / doors etc on the inside before assembling, then giving the whole vehicle a once over with 2k then laquer - is this the way to do it?
Do I need to laquer the inside panels/ bulkhead etc?
Thanks
