for some reason i have found my self changing a lot of car springs recently,mostly mcpherson struts and my little set of manual spring clamps are somewhat unpredictable to say the least.
looking for some ideas to build a jig compressor of sorts,something that i can bolt to the bench, pop the strut in and crank a handle to compress the spring.
would like to use a bottle jack or one of the tall 4x4 jacks, not really sure to be honest.
i'am sure ive seen this in garages before but can't find any on the net that people have build.
would appreciate any help or ideas you guys n gals have on this.
