Hi,
Wasn't sure what to put as the subject as I don't know what this part is properly called. To explain this is a PTO driven water pump, leaking from the seal around the input shaft. So when it's used it doesn't want to prime, and even when revved right up it discharges as much air as it does water. The data plate calls it "8 Roller Vane Pump".
The "thing" I need to remove is an aluminium cylinder with internal splines to engage the PTO drive. It was originally retained by two roll pins, now removed, but it does not want to come off. So I'm looking for ideas to remove it, without damaging the parts. In the photos I've removed the sleeve and balls that latch it onto the drive shaft. One photo showing the pump as a hole, one looking down inside the splines, and one sideways showing that there's not a lot of space between the "thing" and the body, and the face slopes just to make it more difficult for anything to grab it there. Any ideas welcome, thanks.
