The copper pipe is best as it will get rid of more heat, the less heat into the receiver the better, warm air stops water filters workingAh got you now. Yeah think l will go with the hydraulic hose rather than the copper pipe that's on it the now which is leaking anyway.
and dissipate the heat betterEasy enough to replace the delivery pipe using copper plumbing pipe & fittings. The connections are usually standard BSP & the copper pipe will stand up to the heat better than hydraulic hose.
How hot does the pump and delivery pipe get? I haven't had a belt driven compressor before only direct drive ones.
Managed to get the copper delivery pipe sorted but as its starts getting to pressure it seems too be leaking about the cylinder head. So was thinking about getting a new pump for it.
Its a 150L tank which looks to be in very good condition and the motor is working fine, my thinking is it will be more economical to just buy a new pump rather than a new compressor.
It's also worth cleaning the valves while you have the head off, there will probably be a couple of gaskets, replace them both, they are an easy fixYeah after reading quite a lot last night I think I will go down this route. Its worth a try anyway. Will pick up gasket paper and liquid gasket today.
