There used to be a few air over oil power presses around, but they're not very common now, some small pneumatic stuff here, and here, bigger machines tend to be hydraulic.
suppose 3/8 usta be one down the road in a shop could punch 7/8 thick the floor would vibrate with the brute force think it was hydralic though gone a long time. there too dear anyway.
You can also get mechanical ones, if you are looking for a cheaper option than hydraulic. they use a flywheel to store enough energy to get through the punching process.
