Looks great for ally welding wire as that often snarles up in the mig, but probably a bit excessive for normal welding of steel. It's a compromise between normal wire feed and a spool gun torch where the coil is mounted on the gun.

Been around for donkey's years, far better than spool on gun torches for welding ally.

be sat down when you get the price and as far as i know they work with a limited number of welders

"synchronized with the power source wire feed motor". Which means that it gets its power from the internal motor supply making it even more erratic than it otherwise might be. It might be useful on lower power settings, but not on the higher ones!

I have one on my Cebora sound 2035/m Pulse. Although it is a great addition and gives a really smooth feed, the wire still birds nests around the wire feed rollers inside the machine occasionally. I have to say though, if a normal mig torch has a new Teflon liner and tip fitted and isn't in any kind of awkward position then it welds just the same.
I want o try the Cebora spool gun to see if there is a difference between the two, more so out of curiosity than anything but the price puts me off. The push pull torch cost £1000 and the spool gun is around £650 and finding a second hand one is like finding hens teeth

Can't say I've had any joy with mig ally even with a teflon liner, maybe a few runs before the snarling if I keep the liner pulled straight, gave it up and decided tig was the way forward. Problem solved. Cebora are a top machine though I suspect that would be a handy toy coupled to the right unit.

This may be the case if you tried adding a PP gun to a machine with an underpowered, poorly resolved feed system to begin with but it's not the case on any halfway decent machine.
I've fitted somewhere in the region of 30 push pull guns to various machines by piggy-backing onto the DC motor supply and had superb feeding in all instances.
I would however say that in my experience better results are had from machines with 42 volt motors as they seem to suffer less volt drop and starting torque issues when using longer (8-10 metre) cables.
That's just my take on it though (for reference the only guns I have experience on are Binzel units)
