they are the best but expensive ive got the cone shaped one and had it over 20 years in an air die grinder . well used on stainless and mild steel .still going strongMost of mine are Dormer, they’re not cheap but Zoro often have good deals on them. I have a couple of Bahco ones as well, they’re good too (they may be rebranded, I’m not sure though).
A brand I’ve seen mentioned on here is Garryson; I’ve no personal experience but they seem to be well regarded.
6mm shanks so wont work if yours only takes 1/4"?
All depends on the collet chuck. It would be nice if die grinders moved to ER11 or ER16 type collets as then you can use anything.I’ve always assumed the two are interchangeable to be honest!
My oldest from 2012. Lots of low speed abuse etc that has chipped it, still cuts, use it often for similar duty. Solid carbide so the shank is still perfect and not chewed up by cordless chuck jaws.
I think it was a Garryson, bought from B&H.

My current die grinder has Makita style cone collets, look similar to ER and very good, but not found other sizes listed for sale - I would like a 1/8".
I did make a 6mm shank er11 adaptor which works well, tho it extends the cutter out by another inch.
I may make up a new spindle for it with ER16.

have you tried them with 8 mm shank , lot less bounce and less easily bent
on the older low geared bosch i have its just an 8mm collet and nut to changeI haven’t, I’ve seen them for sale though.
Edit: It appears the machines themselves are priced similarly to the 6mm ones (some manufacturers anyway), so may be worth considering.
