Questions on Compressor

Happy Christmas Everyone!

I have recently purchased a 2nd had compressor and there are a few things I am not sure about and wondered if anyone could shed any light on them. I have spent hours googling with no luck.

On the photo below I have managed to work out the the right gauge is tank pressure, the left is the pressure set by the adjuster. The right outlet is unrestricted and the left is adjustable.

I have not seen these outlet connectors before any ideas? I suspect that are incomplete?



The brass outer comes off completely, what are these and can I just replace with a different connector? The threads look quite small compared to my other 25 litre compressor.



There is also an outlet on the side, I presume this is to run to a remote regulator?

just screw the brass fittings off and pop down to machine mart and buy a few male pcl quick couplings there probably 1/4 bsp . take one as a sample the one on the side may be a bit larger than quarter ??u can use a larger bore pipe on it at tank pressure for use with air tools without loss of cfm due to restrictions with a filter seperator fitted . just noticed your existing outlet hasnt got water seperator fitted just a regulator

Those brass connectors should be a 1/4" BSP male thread. They're a bleed valve. You slide that sleeve, (once you have a female coupler fitted on the end), to one end and the air bleeds out. Slide the sleeve to the other end and it seals.

Looks like a wolf or shop branded version and there are 3 ball bearings a spring and a circlip missing from each my compressor has the same pressure switch and blow out valve and gauges you may need to use the bits you have to make adaptors as they are a Euro fitting and have metric pipe threads.
