after you strip the wires out of the secondary then wrap the 4 gauge wire around the secondary when the one 115 hooks to the primary side how does it get power to the black wires when you just wrap them around the jaws.

Welcome. By black wires, do you mean the 4 turns (approx) of insulated wire which comprises the secondary winding?

The original primary winding should be untouched and undamaged. If your question concerns basic transformer theory, the power is transferred through induction...a lot of power as that article explains.

Yes, mutual inductiom.

If I recall my O-levels correctly:-

Ampere-turns on the primary = ampere-turns on the secondary (near as matters)

Thousands of turns on the primary at 5 amps = thousands of amps on the secondary at 5 turns.
