Quick dinnertime dragonfly

I had to re-punch some 17mm holes 10mm off from the originals in some 10mm plate which left me some fat crescent shaped scrap slugs. I welded a few up into a dead basic caterpillar to see what they looked like then realised they would make a great dragonfly body so made this. The wings and legs are bits of bandsaw blade.

I like that and it is a perfect example of why I am a lost cause at artistic things...I would have thrown the bandsaw blade in the bin

I've got loads, i've been collecting them to have a go at basket weaving with them

Well it was finished, but then I snapped a leg off, it might stay disabled yet
