I thought I'd reply to this one, otherwise anyone thinking of joining the forum would think we're ignoring people and go elsewhere. Which would be bad as we like new people on the forum.

Glad you've joined in - my feeling with these things is lots of people get together and talk a bit, and we all move forward. Especially me - you should have seen this site last year when I knew much less.

The new welder looks good (I'll bet it's made by Telwin in Italy like every other welder in Europe). My thought is go with spec and price on new welders.

yeah I think I'll be going with that welder. I imagine there isn't much in it with the ones around the £200 mark. Plue they have most of the things listed at that shop that I'll be after. Save on postage by sticking with one supplier lol
