Quick pry bar project

Just got up the shed for an hour for a quick and dirty project.
I need a pry bar for moving some machinery around and thought I'd knock something up.
Gave me a chance to use my new Spark angle grinders. I only had 1 old cutting disc on my Bosch which just made it through the plate:

Pry bar looks like a good heavy bit of kit, what is it lifting?

The Bosch is a pain and I hate using it. The guard only rotates through about 90 degrees so for a lot of jobs it's in the way.

The pry bar will hopefully assist me getting Spark Plug's Bridgeport mill into my shed after I collect it tomorrow.

My Bosch will rotate about 160 degrees I think.

Didn't realise you had bought the Bridgeport, I'm not jealous at all

Now I've got the two new Spark grinders I will probably leave a wire brush in the Bosch and not worry about it.

Been keeping my eyes open for a cheap BP for a while now so I could resist it.

Even I won't use grinders without guards, one snag of the disk and people get very serious injuries. More so on a 9", but still dangerous on small ones.

For the risk of a public stoning, i regularly use a four'n'arf inch grinder without a guard

No need to apologise. It's worth it being highlighted. Out of all the tools I have it's this grinder (without its guard) that has injured me the most.
As I said, it will now be relegated to wire brushing only from now on.
The Sparks have a very good 360 guard arrangement.

when in college we were all shown a video about grinder safety. one was lying on the bench with no guard, set to kick at a certain time after being turned on to show how far it will lurch with the disc spinning fast enough to cut into you, and a few pics of people with very deep cuts to the back of their fingers, palms, forearms etc from slipping and not having a guard

how thick is the flat strip, 2 or 3mm, I think I would have put a gusset up to about 15mm from the end on both sides of the square tube to strengthen it?

Plate is 5mm and box is 2.5mm wall.
It's possible that I will need to fit a gusset into the radius of the plate but I'll see how it goes first.
It lifted my 626 mill with no signed of bending and that weighs the same as the main column of a BP.
